The Experience We Need to Move Boulder Forward

Dear Friends

For over 30 years, I have called the City of Boulder Home, and I am running because I love our city. From our arts and culture to our open space, from our dedication to innovation and education to our commitment to sustainability. Boulder is home. I am running because I believe it is time to bridge our differences.

I am in this race because we must ensure that our residents can afford to live and work here while making sure that our community is safe, inclusive, and continues to lead the way on sustainability and climate resilience.

I am a fifth-generation Coloradan, and have spent the last 30 years raising my family, caring for loved ones, living, working and serving in Boulder. I know all of Boulder well and I celebrate the abundance of riches that surrounds us every day! I have given my time and energy to this community for decades. I currently serve on the Boulder Public Library District Board and have worked for the City of Boulder. I am the Vice Chair of the CO Educational & Cultural Facilities Authority, I am a former Board Member of Boulder Community Health, The Boulder Community Foundation, Boulder County Arts Alliance, Attention Homes, All Roads, Feet Forward, Streetscape and the Family Learning Center — the first Boulder organization I served when I moved to Boulder, at the urging of beloved Penfield Tate, who was chair of the board at that time.

I hope you will vote for me and join me in building a better Boulder. I look forward to hearing from you.

Benita
